A carved Szekler log house from the 1800s, typical of the architecture of the eastern side of Hargita in the past centuries. The house was built of spruce beams carved more than a hundred years ago and cut on the new moon of February, according to an old custom. According to the ancients, the 'spruce of the month' felled at that time would serve for 700 years, given the right conditions.
The interior of the house has been given a new shape through cultivation, so that the modern man can find comfort in it. The house has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/living room. It is a neat Szekler porch house, situated at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres, in its old birthplace, on the eastern side of Hargita, far from the villages, with a fabulous view of the Hagymás Mountains.
It was named after its old owner, the elderly Uncle Árpád.
